2019 Faculty focus
Dr. Mary Alice Trent
Dr. Mary Alice Trent is Professor of English in the Division of Modern Language and Literature at Indiana Wesleyan University, where she served as Division Chair for seven years. She is also an international writer/scholar, with four books published. Dr. Trent has worked at LCC International University in Klaipeda, Lithuania, during the summer, been a visiting professor and scholar at Beijing University in Beijing, China, and at Excelsia College in Sydney, Australia.

Rachael Phillips
Rachael Phillips describes herself as an “upbeat, offbeat storyteller who embraces the extraordinary ordinary.” She is an award-winning novelist and humor writer (The Erma Bombeck Global Humor Award). She says her numerous articles, ten novels and weekly newspaper column “keep me off the streets, for which family and friends are grateful.”
